The chaton rose MAXIMA flat back is one of the most brilliant cuts Preciosa offers. Available in top fashion colors, these premium machine-cut crystals are made using patented state-of-the-art processes to display a superior optical aesthetic. Foil backing intensifies the already outstanding light refraction even when set in clays or Apoxie® Sculpt for pavé-style jewelry.
Hotfix flat backs bond to most surfaces including wool, cotton, rayon, LYCRA®, silk, acrylic and denim. The flexible hotfix glue allows outstanding low application temperatures (from 120°C / 250°F) paired with excellent adhesion and wash resistance. Please note that heat should NOT be applied to the top of hotfix cabochons; heat should be applied from the reverse side of fabric only.
Inspired by the ethereal glow of the Aurora Borealis, Preciosa's AB effect is a special coating bonded to the surface of the crystal's facets. This coating adds a dimensional, iridescent rainbow effect to the base color.
