Spectacular cathedral glass beads from the Czech Republic. The ornate texture on each side of the faceted bead resembles a sparkling bead cap. Excellent quality beads are made by pressing the bead in a steel mold, coating with Apollo silver compound and AB finish, then grinding and polishing every facet for the glistening warmth and inner glow cathedral beads are known for. Apollo silver is the trade name for the luminous, silver-colored layer that is steam applied for maximum radiance and color brilliance.

Dipped décor is a specialized dipping process that adds even more color and brilliance and tone definition to Czech beads. Clear glass beads are carefully strung, then tied onto a custom dipping frame and submerged several times in a dying solution for enhanced color density. The strands are dried in an air-filtered dryer to protect against impurities.
