Amazonite, sometimes called "Amazon stone" is known for its semi-opaque blue-green colors. Formed from a variety of microcline feldspar, amazonite can range from light green to greenish blue to deep blue-green shade and may include milky-white and tan striations. Referred to by some as "power pillars," these hand-faceted drums are great in bracelets, necklaces and earrings alike. Beads are strung with glass spacers to protect the ends.
