Starter set contains everything you need to create enameled jewelry except the heat source. Enamel is essentially granules of glass that are applied to metal. A torch or kiln is used to fuse the glass onto the metal surface. Copper and fine silver are the ideal metals to use when working with enamel. Set provides an ideal way to start your own enameling workshop or to enhance enameling supplies you already have. Set includes: instructions, trivet, spatula, hot pad, 2-inch sifter, 2-fluid ounces of Thompson brand holding agent, (18) 39mm-40x30mm assorted copper shapes, 4 ounces of assorted transparent and opaque lump lead-free enamel, 1 ounce of 8 colored enamel threads, 1 ounce of glass threads and (8) 1-ounce quantities of Vitrearc® lead-free enamel opaque colors. Opaque colors include mocha brown, butter yellow, jungle green, robin's egg blue, Daphne blue, mauve purple, flame red and black. Enamel does not mix together like paints do. Colors can be layered and swirled during/after the baking process.
