Instructions
Cut a 23-inch length of 22-gauge dead-soft wire.
String #11 seed beads onto the wire, leaving approximately 2 inches of bare wire on each end.
Note: To create the design as shown, string mostly silver-lined emerald green seed beads with other colors sporadically added to represent ornaments or lights.
Use the Artistic Wire® CONETASTIC™ Inverted Mandrel to create a cone approximately 1 inch in length.
Trim the wire, leaving a tail approximately 1/4 inch long. Wrap the end around the wire above, between seed beads, to secure.
To secure the beads temporarily, create a small hook at the beginning of the wire.
Repeat to create a second beaded cone.
Fill the inside of each cone with wood clay, taking care not to change the shape of the cone.
String two dark bronze luster 5x2mm flowers onto a head pin. Push the head pin up through the center of the wood clay in one cone.
Set aside to allow the clay to completely dry.
Repeat to add a beaded head pin through the second cone.
Remove the wood clay, with beaded head pin, from a beaded cone.
Coat the sides of one wood clay cone with The Ultimate! adhesive then place back in the beaded cone.
Gently press the beaded cone to the adhesive, then set aside to dry.
Repeat with the second set of cones.
Wrap the beginning of the beaded wire cone around the head pin to secure.
String an orange 6mm round and a 2.5mm gold-plated round onto the head pin then create a simple loop.
Add an ear wire to the wrapped loop.
Repeat to complete the second earring.
