Instructions
Cut a 9-inch length of 18-gauge wire. Center the wire on a 1-inch cylinder and bend the ends around to create an open teardrop frame that fits around the round cabochon.
Cut 6-, 6 1/4, and 6 1/2 inch lengths of 20-gauge wire. Bend each length of wire into a teardrop shape with the width of the teardrop gradually becoming larger with each length of wire.
Center the thinnest/shortest 20-gauge teardrop on the bottom the frame. Use 26-gauge wire to tightly wrap the bottom of the teardrop to the bottom of the frame.
Center the middle teardrop on the bottom of the frame, over the attached teardrop. Use 26-gauge wire to tightly wrap the bottom of the teardrop to the bottom of the frame. Repeat with the last teardrop.
Cut a 4-inch length of 20-gauge wire. Grip the center of the wire with the barrel of round-nose pliers then press the wire ends in opposite directions, crossing to create a teardrop.
Center the wire on the bottom of the back of the frame then wrap one end around the frame approximately 3/4 of an inch from bottom center. Repeat with the other end on the opposite side of the frame. Trim any excess wire.
Cut an 8-inch length of 26-gauge wire.
Tightly wrap the wire around the frame just above the wraps of the backing wire. Bring the wire down to below the wraps.
Wrap once around the frame then make a 90-degree bend approximately 1mm from the frame. String on a #8 seed bead. Repeat to wrap seed beads around the bottom of the frame.
Secure by wrapping tightly just above the wraps of the backing wire on the opposite side of the frame. Trim any excess wire.
Insert the cabochon between the teardrops and the backing wire. Push the ends of the frame together to complete the teardrop shape, approximately 1/4 of an inch apart.
String two bicones onto one side of the frame. Wrap one end of the smaller teardrop twice around the frame just above the beads. Repeat on the opposite side of the frame and trim any excess wire from the center teardrop.
String one bicone onto one side of the frame. Wrap one end of the middle teardrop twice around the frame just above the beads. Repeat on the opposite side of the frame.
String one bicone onto one side of the frame. Wrap one end of the larger teardrop twice around the frame just above the beads. Repeat on the opposite side of the frame.
Cut a 4-inch length of 20-gauge wire.
Wrap one end of the wire around the backing wire, approximately halfway between the teardrop and the frame. Bring the wire toward the top of the frame. String on two bicones and position the wire so the bicones rest between the cabochon and the top of the frame. Tightly wrap the wire around the frame just above the wrap securing the largest front teardrop.
Bring the wire across the opening at the top of the frame. String on one bicone and then wrap tightly on the opposite side of the opening, positioning the bicone between the ends of the frame wire.
Bring the wire back down toward the backing wire and string two bicones. Position the wire so the bicones rest between the top of the cabochon and the top of the frame then wrap tightly on the opposite side of the backing wire. Trim any excess wire.
Create a spiral on each end of the frame wire then trim any excess.
Cut an 11-inch length of Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire.
String a crimp and an Accu-Guard™ onto the beading wire Pass the wire back through the crimp. Pull the wire so the crimp rests approximately 1mm from the wire guardian, leaving approximately 1/4 of an inch of beading wire on the end. Crimp, trim excess and add a crimp cover.
String the following pattern four times:
Repeat Step 10 to secure the wire.
Repeat Steps 10 - 12 to create a second beaded strand.
Use double 4mm jump rings to attach a beaded strand to one spiral of the pendant. Repeat to add the second beaded strand to the opposite spiral.
Attach a clasp to the ends of the necklace.
Cut a 4 1/2 inch length of 20-gauge wire. Bend the ends of the wire toward each other to create an open teardrop frame.
String the following onto the wire teardrop:
Cut a 6-inch length of 26-gauge wire. Tightly wrap the end of the wire around one side of the top of the frame. String on a black bicone, bring the wire to the opposite side of the frame opening and wrap tightly. Trim any excess wire.
Repeat Steps 1 - 3 to create a second teardrop component.
Cut a 2 1/2 inch length of 20-gauge wire. Grip the center of the wire with round-nose pliers then bend the ends of the wire around to create a teardrop. Gently curve the ends of the wire out, create a small spiral then trim any excess. Repeat to create a second chandelier component.
Attach the teardrop of a chandelier component to the loop of an ear wire. Use 4mm jump rings to attach a teardrop component to the chandelier component.
Repeat to complete the second earring.
