Instructions
Cut two 1-foot lengths of 20-gauge wire and two 4-foot lengths of 28-gauge wire.
String an 8mm star onto a head pin then form a wrapped loop. Repeat to create a second drop.
Form a simple loop on the end of one length of 20-gauge wire.
Approximately 2-1/4 inches below the loop, bend the wire back at an angle to form the bottom right point of the start. Bend the wire back to a horizontal position, forming the top left point of the star. String on one 8mm star drop and position the drop so it hangs from the horizontal “line” below the loop of the star frame.
Continue to form the last two lines of the star frame. Finish by wrapping the working end of the wire around the wire below the loop. Trim excess wire.
Using a length of 28-gauge wire, wrap one end 4-5 times around the base of the wrapped shank. String one blue 4mm round onto the wire then wrap once around the side. String a second blue 4mm round onto the wire and form another wrap around the side of the star.
Repeat to wrap 4mm rounds around the star, making each point and the corresponding inside of each point the same color. See the design image for inspiration. Trim excess wire.
Pass one 5.5mm jump ring through the loop of the star and one earstud then close.
Repeat Steps 3 - 6 to create a second earring.
