- Bead cage, gold-plated steel, 21x17mm tapered oval
- Bead, Czech fire-polished glass, metallic apricot, 5x4mm faceted rondelle
- Bead, Czech fire-polished glass, translucent metallic apricot, 9x5mm faceted rondelle
- Beading wire, Accu-Flex®, nylon and stainless steel, rose gold, 49 strand, 0.019-inch diameter
- Cone, antique gold-plated pewter (tin-based alloy), 13x12mm round with swirl design, fits 12-14mm bead
- Crimp cover, gold-plated brass, 3mm round
- Crimp, sterling silver, 1.1x1mm micro cut tube, 0.76mm inside diameter
- Crimp, sterling silver, 2mm cut tube, 1.4mm inside diameter
- Ear wire, gold-plated brass, 17mm fishhook with 2.5mm ball and open loop, 22 gauge
- Wire protector, Accu-Guard™, gold-plated brass, 4mm tube, 0.5mm inside diameter
Instructions
Step 1
Cut the following lengths of Accu-Flex® professional quality beading wire:
- Two 4-1/2 inch lengths
- Two 1-1/4 inch lengths
- Two 1-5/32 inch lengths
- Two 1-inch lengths
- Two 27/32 inch lengths
Step 2
Crimp a 1mm crimp bead onto the end of each length of beading wire. String a 5x4mm rondelle onto each length of beading wire.
Step 3
Position the lengths of beading wire so the 4-1/2 inch length in in the center and the smaller lengths are on either side. String a 2mm crimp onto the 4-1/2 inch length of wire and position it approximately 1-1/2 inches from the crimped end. Pass the other lengths of wire through the 2mm crimp so the ends are staggered then crimp. Trim excess wire from the short lengths.
Step 4
Open a bead cage by bending it in half in the center. Pass the working end of the beaded drop through the bottom of the bead cage then string three 9x5mm rondelles onto the beading wire. Pass the working end through the top of the bead cage and bend the bead cage back into place.
Step 5
Continue to string onto the working end of the beading wire:
- One cone
- One 5x4mm rondelle
- One crimp
- One Accu-Guard™ wire protector
Pass the beading wire back through the crimp, the 5x4mm rondelle and cone. Crimp then finish with a crimp cover.
Step 6
Attach an ear wire to the Accu-Guard to complete the earring.
Step 7
Repeat Steps 2 - 6 to create a second earring.
