Lavishly layered necklaces, especially in gold, are at the height of jewelry fashion. Layers can take a lot of time though, so jewelry designer Rose shows you how to take a shortcut as she demonstrates the steps to make this popular design.
Instructions
String a 4mm iris AB2X bicone onto an eye pin then create a simple loop. Repeat to create a total of 82 links.
Use 4mm jump rings to attach the links into a chain.
Use a 4mm jump ring to add a lobster claw clasp to one end of the necklace. Add a 4mm jump ring to the opposite end of the necklace.
String the following onto an eye pin then create a simple loop:
Repeat to create a total of 15 links.
Cut sixteen 1-inch lengths of figure-8 chain.
Use 4mm jump rings to attach alternating pearl links and lengths of chain into a beaded chain, ending each end with a length of chain.
Use a 4mm jump ring to attach a lobster claw clasp to one end of the necklace. Add a 4mm jump ring to the opposite end.
Add an ice-pick bail to a 14mm iris heart pendant.
Use a 4mm jump ring to attach the loop of the bail to an 18-inch, 1.5mm cable chain.
Note: These chains are ready to layer with the other necklaces of this set.
String the following onto an eye pin then create a simple loop:
Repeat to create a second link.
Add ice-pick bails to two 10mm iris heart pendants.
Use 4mm jump rings to connect an ear wire, a link and a heart pendant.
Repeat to complete a second earring.
