- Seed bead, Delica®, glass, opaque metallic gold iris raspberry, (DB1015), #11 round
- Seed bead, Delica®, glass, translucent silver-lined semi-matte dark blue, (DB0696), #11 round
- Seed bead, Delica®, glass, opaque galvanized hot pink, (DB0425), #11 round
- Bead, garnet (dyed), 4mm hand-cut round, B- grade, Mohs hardness 7 to 7-1/2
- Bead, garnet (dyed), 2mm hand-cut round, B grade, Mohs hardness 7 to 7-1/2
- Needle, Tulip, nickel- and gold-plated steel, #11 with 0.52mm eye width, 2 inches
- Earring mix, gold-finished steel, mixed sizes, round hoops with hinged closure
- Thread, Berkley® FireLine®, gel-spun polyethylene, smoke, 0.13mm diameter 4-fiber braid, 4-pound test
Instructions
Step 1
Add a beading needle to an arm-length of Fireline® thread. Tie the end of the thread to an earring hoop, approximately 1/2 inch from the end of the tube.
Step 2
Pick up two silver-lined dark blue seed beads. Pass through the hoop then back through the second seed bead.
Step 3
Pick up one dark blue seed bead, pass through the hoop and then back through the seed bead. Repeat to add a complete row of dark blue seed beads to the hoop.
Step 4
Continue using circular brick stitch to add two rows of metallic gold iris raspberry and one row of galvanized hot pink.
Step 5
Pass through various beads to exit the first hot pink bead added.
Step 6
Pick up one 2mm garnet, one 4mm garnet and one 3mm garnet. Pass back through the 4mm garnet, the 2mm garnet and the seed bead. Pass out through the next hot pink seed bead, pulling snug. Repeat to add fringe along the entire length of the hot pink row.
Step 7
Pass through various beads of brick stitch to secure the thread. For additional security, tie a small knot. Trim the thread.
