Instructions
Cut two 3-1/2 inch lengths of chain and remove the lobster claw clasp.
Cut an arm's length of TOHO BEADS® thread.
Thread a beading needle almost doubling one length of thread but leaving a tail so you are working with only one thread.
Note: It may be necessary to cut additional lengths of thread later in the design.
String the top hole on two Tango™ beads so that the beads are touching back-to-back.
String three seed beads then string through the bottom holes on the same Tango beads as before.
String three seed beads then pass back through the top holes of the Tango beads from the previous step and the first seed bead strung again to create the first set of strung Tango beads.
String five seed beads then repeat Step 2 using two new Tango beads.
String two seed beads and the fifth seed bead strung in Step 4. Pass through the top holes of the Tango beads and the first seed bead strung again to create the second set of strung Tango beads.
Tip: When adding a new length of thread, use a square knot to attach the lengths of thread then use a thread burner to eliminate the frayed ends.
Repeat Steps 2 - 5 to the desired length.
String five seed beads then pass through the last seed bead strung in the previous set again to create a loop.
Pass through the loop again to secure it. Repeat for a total of three times for added security.
Pass back through the bottom hole of the two nearest Tango beads then string on one seed bead.
Repeat throughout the rest of the strand to connect the sets while providing additional security throughout.
Pass the needle through the last seed bead on the end of the strand then repeat Step 7 to create the second loop.
Pass back through the design once more for added security.
Use a 6mm jump ring to attach a length of chain to either end of the strand.
Use a 6mm jump ring to attach one portion of the clasp to either end of the strand to complete the strand.
Cut an arm's length of thread.
String the top hole on two Tango beads so that the beads are touching back-to-back.
String three seed beads then string through the bottom holes on the same Tango beads as before.
String three seed beads then pass back through the top hole of the Tango beads from the previous step and the first seed bead strung in this set.
Continue to string ten seed beads then pass back through the nearest seed bead strung to create a loop.
Pass through the top holes of the Tango beads and the seed beads in the loop again for a total of three times for added security.
Pass through the rest of the earring several times for additional security.
Use one 6mm jump ring to attach the ear wire to the loop created in Step 4 to complete the first earring.
Repeat Steps 1 - 6 to create a second earring.
