- Bead, Czech glass and silver-plated brass, light Colorado topaz, 5mm rose montées
- Bead, Preciosa Pip™, Czech pressed glass, opaque gunmetal, 7x5mm top-drilled pip
- Earstud, antiqued sterling silver, 11.5x10mm bee with closed loop
- Flat back, Preciosa Viva 12® Czech crystal rhinestone, jet, foil back, 3.8-4mm chaton rose round, SS16
- Jump ring, sterling silver, 3mm round, 1.3mm inside diameter, 19 gauge
- Jump ring, sterling silver, 4.5mm round, 3.1mm inside diameter, 22 gauge
- Jump ring, sterling silver, 6mm soldered round, 4.8mm inside diameter, 22 gauge
- Needle, Tulip, nickel- and gold-plated steel, #11 with 0.52mm eye width, 2 inches
- Adhesive, epoxy, Devcon® 2 Ton® Clear Epoxy, 30-minute, 2-part
Instructions
Step 1
Cut a 1-foot length of TOHO BEADS® thread and add a beading needle. Leaving a 4-inch tail, add a stop bead.
Step 2
String six pip beads then one 6mm closed jump ring. Pass through the six pip beads again then pull the thread taught.
Tie a knot to secure. Do not cut thread.
Step 3
Use the remaining length of thread to string on the montée through the horizonal hole. Repeat using the vertical hole, creating a flower.
Step 4
String one 3mm jump ring onto the 6mm closed jump ring then close.
Use the 4.5mm jump ring to attach the earstud onto the 3mm jump ring.
Step 5
Use a toothpick to apply a small amount of adhesive to the back of the flower.
Use a flat back positioner to apply a flat back and set aside to dry.
Step 6
Repeat Steps 1 - 5 to complete the second earring.
