Instructions
First Strand
Cut a 15-inch length of cord.
Attach a crimp end to one end of cord.
Creating the Focal
Use colored permanent markers to color the antique silver-plated "pewter" focal as desired.
String onto a head pin one rondelle bead, an antique copper-plated steel bead, a butterfly bead and a round crystal bead. Form a simple loop. Attach to the antique copper-plated brass focal.
Position the brass focal on the "pewter" focal so that the butterfly bead is opposite the hole on the "pewter" focal. Use Devcon® 5 Minute® Epoxy to attach the brass focal to the "pewter" focal.
Cut a 2-inch square of Lacy's Stiff Stuff™.
Use Devcon 5 Minute Epoxy to attach the green chalcedony cabochon to the Lacy's Stiff Stuff.
Sew size 11 Toho Beads® seed beads into the Lacy's Stiff Stuff along the circumference of the cabochon.
Sew size 15 Miyuki seed beads around the size 11 seed beads. Trim any excess Lacy's Stiff Stuff then apply Devcon 5 Minute Epoxy to the back of the Lacy's Stiff Stuff and attach to the brass focal.
Use Devcon 5 Minute Epoxy to attach green apatite gemstone beads around the edge of the seed beads to hide any remaining Lacy's Stiff Stuff.
Attach an 8mm twisted round jump ring to the "pewter" focal. String the focal onto the cord. Attach a crimp end to the other end of cord.
Use a 4mm jump ring to attach one half of a toggle clasp to a crimp end. Repeat for the other crimp end to complete the first strand.
Second Strand
Cut six 1-inch lengths of chain and two 1/3-inch lengths of chain.
String onto an eye pin one size 11 seed bead, one green apatite bead and one size 11 seed bead. Form a simple loop. Repeat to create a total of nine small links.
String onto an eye pin three size 15 seed beads, three size 11 seed beads and three size 15 seed beads. Form a simple loop. Repeat to create a total of six long links.
Connect the links and chain in the following order:
Attach a 6mm round jump ring to one end of the chain created in Step 12 and one crimp end from the first strand.
Repeat on the other end of chain to complete the necklace.
String the following onto a head pin:
Form a simple loop then attach to an ear wire.
Repeat to create a second earring.
