Instructions
Cut an arm's length of FireLine® thread and add a beading needle.
Add a stop bead to the end of the thread, leaving a 10-inch tail.
Pick up one black seed bead, one red and one black (rows 1 and 2).
Pick up one black seed bead then pass back through the red seed bead of row 2.
Pick up one black seed bead, completing Row 3.
Continue following the provided link pattern using peyote stitch.
Weave through various seed beads in the woven link to secure the thread, exiting between the two seed beads of the last row.
Pick up one black seed bead then pass through the next bead of the last row, back through the second-to-last row and then through various beads to exit out the newly added bead.
Use the ladder stitch to add six black seed beads to the newly added bead.
Loop the ladder stitch beads back and attach to the first bead with the ladder stitch, creating a loop for the link. Weave through various beads to secure then trim the thread.
Remove the stop bead and add the beading needle to the tail thread. Repeat Steps 4 and 5 to add a second loop to the link.
Repeat Steps 1 - 6 to create a total of six seed bead links.
Cut and prepare a new length of thread with a beading needle and a stop bead.
Using the peyote stitch, follow the pattern provided.
Bring the last row of the peyote strip around to the first, creating a circle. Pass through the beads of the first and last row alternately, zipping the rows together.
Weave through the beads, exiting from the yellow seed bead in Row 16.
Use the ladder stitch to add six yellow seed beads.
Loop the ladder stitched beads back to meet the yellow seed bead in Row 17 then use the ladder stitch to secure.
Weave through the beads to exit the red bead in Row 32.
Repeat Step 10 to add a loop of red seed beads, attaching the opposite end to the red bead of Row 2.
Add a 5mm seed bead to the loops of each seed bead link and to the yellow loop of the seed bead bail.
Use 4mm jump rings to attach an alternating pattern of three seed bead links and three black onyx links. Use a 4mm jump ring to attach the last black onyx link to the jump ring attached to the seed bead bail.
Repeat to create the second half of the necklace.
Use 6mm jump rings to add each half of the toggle clasp to the ends of the necklace.
Slide and center a tigereye naja focal in the seed bead bail.
Use a 6mm jump ring to add a black onyx drop to the red loop of the seed bead bail.
