Instructions
Condition green and bright green pearl polymer clay.
Condition and Skinner blend purple and purple pearl polymer clay.
Cut five 2-1/2 inch lengths of 20-gauge wire.
Cut approximately 15 small hearts, 10mm wide, out of the blended purple polymer clay.
Fold one heart around the end of a 20-gauge wire to attach it. Repeat, layering descending hearts along a third of the wire to create the spike of a lavender flower.
Note: The polymer clay should stick together but take care while handling so it doesn't fall apart.
Cover the next 1/3 of the wire with bright green pearl polymer clay.
Cut a piece of green clay approximately 2-1/2 x 1 inch. Roll and press the green clay around the remaining length of wire while keeping the top part loose around the flowers. Cut the loose part of the clay vertically into three leaves.
Repeat Steps 2 - 5 to create a total of five flowers.
Bake the flower according to manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the perforated disc off an earstud. Stick the wire from a flower into the disc and bend outwards to temporarily secure. Repeat to attach the remaining flowers.
Cut a 1-foot length of 28-gauge wire. Tightly wrap the 28-gauge wire around the stems of the flowers on the bottom of the perforated disc. Cut excess wire.
Cover the perforated disk with green Apoxie® Sculpt to form the base of the flowers. Use a texturizing tool to create a moss-like texture.
Roll three small ropes of yellow Apoxie Sculpt, approximately 5-inches long. Braid the ropes into a traditional 3-strand braid. Press the braid around the edge of the disc and the top of the bottle stopper. Trim any excess braid.
Set aside to cure for 24 hours.
