Instructions
Cut the following:
Using the Beadalon® tassel maker, create a tassel three inches long using both turquoise blue and pale green Purely Silk™ lengths of thread. Instead of using a jump ring, Pass the 5-inch length of wire through the tassel.
Tip: View our ''How to Create Tassels Using the Beadalon® Tassel Maker'' how-to video and illustrated instructions for more information.
Cross the tails of wire until they meet tightly above the tassel about 2/3 of the way down the wire. Remove the tassel from the tassel maker then wrap the short end of wire once around the long end tightly against the tassel. Trim excess wire from the short end.
String one cord end and one crystal 8mm round bead onto the wire then form a simple loop. Trim excess wire. Use scissors to cut the bottom of the tassel then trim so all the ends are even.
Form a simple loop on the end of one 2-inch length of wire. String one Pacific opal 4mm bicone onto the wire then form a simple loop. Repeat to create a total of four 4mm bicone links.
Repeat to create two Pacific opal 6mm bicone links.
Attach one 11x4mm teardrop drop to one end of each beaded link.
Form a simple loop on the end of one 2-1/4 inch length of wire. String onto the wire:
Repeat to create a second link. Attach 11x4mm teardrop drops to the 6mm end of the links.
Form a simple loop on the end of one 2-1/4 inch length of wire. String onto the wire:
Form a simple loop.
Form a simple loop on the end of one 2-1/4 inch length of wire. String onto the wire:
Form a simple loop. Repeat to create a total of four heart links.
To create the tassel drop, attach the tassel component to the 3mm round end of the link created in Step 6. Attach the opposite end of the link to the center loop on one 17x16mm heart drop.
Attach the following to the remaining bottom loops of the heart drop: one 4mm bicone link to the outer two loops and one 6mm bicone link (from Step 5) to the remaining two loops.
Pass one 6mm jump ring through the top loop of the heart drop and the loop on one 8x7mm barrel then close.
Using one 4mm 22-gauge jump ring each, attach each 1-inch length of chain to an 8x7mm barrel bead.
Attach each of the heart links from Step 7 to each barrel bead so it hangs next to the chain then connect each of the remaining bicone links (two 4mm links and two 6mm links) to the bottom of the heart links.
Apply a small amount of Devcon 5-Minute Epoxy to the inside of one 8.5x6mm crimp end. Insert one end of the cord into the crimp end but do not crimp. Allow five minutes to set.
String onto the other end of the cord:
Repeat Step 11 to secure the cord.
Using 4mm 22-gauge jump rings, attach both ends of the 20-1/2 inch length of chain to each of the crimp ends.
Use a 4mm 20-gauge jump ring to attach the lobster claw clasp to one crimp end then attach a 6mm jump ring to the opposite crimp end to complete the necklace.
Cut the following:
Repeat Steps 2 and 3 of the Necklace instructions twice to create two tassel components.
Form a simple loop on the end of one 2-inch length of wire then string one Pacific opal 4mm bicone onto the wire. Form a simple loop. Repeat to create a second link.
Attach one 11x4mm teardrop drop to one end of both links.
Form a simple loop on the end of one 2-1/4 inch length of wire then string onto the wire:
Form a simple loop. Repeat to create a second link.
Attach one 11x4mm teardrop drop to the bicone end of both links.
From left to right, attach the following components to the bottom loops of one 17x16mm heart drop:
Attach an ear wire to the top loop of the heart drop.
Repeat Steps 3 - 5 to create a second earring.
