How to Create an Inverted Round Chainmaille Weave
Instructions
Step 1
Create a 1-1 chain that is 5 jump rings long. Pass a jump ring through the first and last rings of the chain, then close.
Note: To provide more stability and a handle while weaving, pass a piece of scrap wire or a twist tie through the first, third and fifth jump rings then twist to secure.
Step 2
Position the jump rings as shown. Pass an open jump ring through two of the vertical rings then close. Repeat to add two more jump rings around the triangle.
Step 3
Flip the rings added in Step 2 into a vertical position.
Step 4
Repeat Steps 2 and 3 until the chain is the desired length.
