Pass one red 8mm jump ring through two matte gold 6mm jump rings (attached to the first jump ring) then close. Repeat to attach a second jump ring creating double jump rings. Repeat to attach double 8mm jump rings to each of the five sets of matte gold 6mm jump rings.
Pass one red 8mm jump ring between one set of double 8mm jump rings, through one matte gold 6mm jump ring (Step 1), the adjacent matte gold 6mm jump ring (from the next set) and between the adjacent set of double 8mm jump rings then close.
Repeat to attach one red 8mm jump ring between each of the five sets of double 8mm jump rings.
Pass one matte gold 6mm jump ring through the center where the one set of double 8mm jump rings and the sandwiched single 8mm jump ring overlap then close. Repeat to attach one matte gold 6mm jump ring through the center of each set of red 8mm jump rings.
Pass one red 5mm jump ring through two adjacent matte gold 6mm jump rings around the top of the flower then close. Repeat to attach one red 5mm jump ring to a total of five sets of matte gold 6mm jump rings.
Repeat Steps 1 - 3 to create a total of five chainmaille flower components.
Use red 5mm jump rings to connect each of the flower components end to end (leave two red jump rings along the bottom and one on top).
Pass one gold 8mm jump ring through the loop on one portion of the toggle clasp and two more gold 8mm jump rings then close.
Pass one gold 8mm jump ring through two more gold 8mm jump rings and the previous two 8mm jump rings then close. Repeat to connect a total of 14 sets of double gold 8mm jump rings end to end creating a chain.
Repeat to create the chain for the opposite side of the necklace.
Attach gold 10mm jump rings to the top red 5mm jump ring and the bottom 5mm jump ring, on the same side, on the first flower component then close. Pass one gold 8mm jump ring through the top 10mm jump ring, the side 5mm jump ring, the bottom 10mm jump ring and the last gold 8mm jump ring on one jump ring chain then close.
Repeat to attach the second jump ring chain to the last flower component.
Place the necklace on a display to make it easier to attach the scale drops.
Use double red 5mm jump rings to attach one gold 22x14mm scale and one red 36x22mm scale, back to front, to the single 8mm jump ring on the bottom of the center flower component. Repeat to attach scales to the red 5mm jump ring connecting the adjacent flowers on either side of the previous.
Repeat to attach scales to the red 5mm jump ring on the bottom of the first and last flower components.
Pass one 6mm jump ring through one gold 22x14mm scale and one red 36x22mm scale, back to front, then close. Use one 8mm jump ring to connect the previous jump ring to one fishhook ear wire.
Repeat to create a second earring.
