Earrings with Chainmaille

Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open a green jump ring. Pass it through two light blue jump rings. Close the jump ring.

Open a green jump ring. Pass it through the first light blue jump ring from Step 1 (row 2) and two light blue jump rings (row 4). Close the jump ring.

Open a green jump ring. Pass it through both light blue jump rings (row 2), the second light blue jump ring (row 4) from Step 2 and one light blue jump ring (row 4). Close the jump ring.

Open a green jump ring. Pass it through the second light blue jump ring (row 2), the third light blue jump ring (row 4) from Step 3 and one light blue jump ring (row 4). Close the jump ring. This completes rows 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Repeat Steps 2 - 4 in the following pattern to finish attaching the first 8 rows by widening the pattern by one jump ring per row, and then the last 7 rows by decreasing the pattern by one jump ring per row:

• Row 5: five green jump rings
• Row 6: six light blue jump rings
• Row 7: seven green jump rings
• Row 8: eight light blue jump rings
• Row 9: seven green jump rings
• Row 10: six light blue jump rings
• Row 11: five green jump rings
• Row 12: four light blue jump rings
• Row 13: three green jump rings
• Row 14: two light blue jump rings
• Row 15: one green jump ring

Open the loop on an ear wire. Pass it through the green jump ring on the first row. Close the jump ring.

Repeat Steps 1 - 6 to complete the second earring.
