- Bead, African "jade" (quartz), (natural), 4x1.5mm-4x2.5mm heishi, C grade, Mohs hardness 7
- Bead, African "turquoise" (jasper), (dyed), 4x1.5mm-4x2.5mm heishi, C grade, Mohs hardness 6-1/2 to 7
- Bead, black labradorite, (natural), 4x1.5mm-4x2.5mm heishi, B grade, Mohs hardness 6 to 6-1/2
- Bead, black onyx, (dyed), 3x1.5mm-3x2.5mm heishi, B grade, Mohs hardness 6-1/2 to 7
- Bead, DiamonDuo™, Czech pressed glass, opaque Labrador silver, 8x5mm faceted diamond with flat back and (2) 0.7-0.8mm holes
- Bead tip, silver-plated brass, 6.5x3.5mm bottom clamp-on with closed loop
- Bead, silver-finished brass, 6x1.5mm liquid twisted tube
- Clasp, 4-strand slide lock, silver-plated brass, 26x6mm corrugated round tube
- Crimp, sterling silver, 2x1mm cut tube, 1.1mm inside diameter
- Ear wire, silver-plated brass, 35mm marquise with open loop, 19 gauge
- Head pin, Crop Circles Jewelry, silver-plated brass, 2 inches with 12mm swirl, 19 gauge
- Jump ring, silver-plated brass, 4mm round, 2.4mm inside diameter, 20 gauge
- Jump ring, silver-plated brass, 6x4mm oval, 4.1x2mm inside diameter, 18 gauge
- Thread, Beadalon® WildFire™, polyester and plastic, grey, 0.15mm with bonded coating, 10-pound test
Instructions
Bracelet Instructions
Step 1
Cut the following lengths of Beadalon® WildFire™ thread:
- Two 12-inch lengths
- Two 6-inch lengths
- Seven 10-inch lengths
Step 2
Using a 10-inch length of thread, string a set of one DiamonDuo™ bead and three black labradorite beads. Repeat to string a total of four sets. Pass through all the beads twice then tie a knot.
Step 3
Repeat Step 2 using African "jade" beads and one of the previous DiamonDuo beads as a starting point.
Repeat this process to create seven connected diamond shapes, using the image above as reference. Secure the diamonds with a knot.
Step 4
String a bead tip then a crimp bead approximately 1/4 of an inch onto a 6-inch length of thread. Crimp then cover with the bead tip.
Step 5
String the following:
- One black onyx bead
- One tube bead
- One black onyx bead
- One tube bead
- The unused DiamondDuo hole at the beginning of the first beaded diamond
- One tube bead
- One black onyx bead
- One tube bead
- One black onyx bead
Repeat Step 4. Trim any excess thread.
Step 6
Repeat Steps 4 and 5 on the other end of the seven diamonds.
Step 7
Repeat Step 4 using a 12-inch length of thread then string the following:
- Three sets of:
- One black onyx bead
- One tube bead
Step 8
Pass through a DiamonDuo bead on one side of the seven diamonds then continue stringing:
- One set of:
- One tube bead
- One black onyx bead
- One tube bead
Pass through another DiamonDuo bead on the side of the seven diamonds.
Continue this process until you pass through the last diamond then repeat the pattern from Step 7 in the opposite direction. Secure the strand with a crimp and bead tip.
Step 9
Repeat Steps 7 and 8 on the other side of the seven diamonds.
Step 10
Open an oval jump ring. Slide on a bead tip then close the jump ring. Use a round jump ring to attach the oval jump ring to a clasp.
Repeat for the remaining bead tips on both sides of the bracelet.
Earring Instructions
Step 1
Pass two black labradorite beads, three African "turquoise" beads and two black labradorite beads onto a head pin. Form a simple loop then attach to an ear wire.
Repeat to create a second earring.
