Instructions
Print an image onto waterslide transfer paper using an inkjet printer. Seal the image with a topcoat.
Use a 25mm circle template to cut the image out.
Use a disc cutter to cut a 25mm circle from a sheet of 24-gauge nickel silver. File the edges as needed to fit in the setting of a 28mm watch-face drop. Clean the disc thoroughly with rubbing alcohol.
Place the image in water.
Paint a thin layer of Jewelry Shield onto the front of the disc.
Remove the image from the water and pat with a paper towel to remove excess water. Slide the backing off the image and then apply to the disc. Set aside to dry for at least 30 minutes.
Use Devcon® 2-part Epoxy to adhere the photo disc to the setting of the watch-face drop. Set aside to cure.
Add a layer of Magic-Glos® to the top of the image and cure.
Cut the following lengths of chain:
Cut a 4-inch length of 20-gauge wire and create a wrapped loop on one end.
String a striped agate oval onto the wire positioned so there is a space approximately 20-gauge between the bead and the wrapped loop. Create a wrapped loop on the opposite side of the bead---do not trim the wire.
Bend the wire in a swirl around the bead and back to the first wrapped loop. Wrap around the step of the first wrapped loop to secure then trim any excess wire.
Repeat to create a total of four overwrapped links.
Cut a 7-inch length of 20-gauge wire and create a wrapped loop on one end.
String a blue labradorite puffed round onto the wire so there is a space approximately 20-gauge between the bead and the wrapped loop. Create a wrapped loop on the opposite side of the bead--do not trim the wire.
Bring the wire to the center of the bead. Bend the wire away from the bead and create a spiral. Bend the wire so the spiral sits at the center of the bead.
Bring the wire to the first wrapped loop and wrap to secure. Trim any excess wire.
Repeat to create a second spiral link.
Cut a 4-inch length of Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire. String a crimp and an Accu-Guard™ wire protector onto the wire. Bring the wire back through the crimp. Pull tight to create approximately 1/4 inch of tail, leaving a space of 1mm between the crimp and the wire protector. Crimp, trim excess wire and finish with a crimp cover.
String the following onto the beading wire:
Secure with a crimp and wire protector, finishing with a crimp cover.
Repeat to create a total of two small beaded links.
Cut a 4-inch length of beading wire. Add a crimp, wire protector and crimp cover to one end of the wire.
String the following:
Secure with a crimp and wire protector, finishing with a crimp cover.
String a tourmaline/quartz nugget onto a head pin then create a simple loop. Repeat to create a second tourmaline/quartz drop, two green "opal" drops and two garnet drops.
Attach an 8mm jump ring to the end of a 4 1/2 inch length of chain. Starting with the opposite end of the chain use 5mm jump rings to attach the following in sequence:
Add an 8mm jump ring then repeat the previous sequence in reverse, ending with a lobster claw clasp.
Open the 8mm jump ring at the center of the necklace and add the following between the chains:
Close the jump ring.
Use 5mm jump rings to attach the remaining beaded link then the photo drop to the end of the 1/2 inch length of chain.
Attach the remaining gemstone drops to the wire protector just above the photo drop.
String the following onto a head pin then create a simple loop:
Repeat to create a second drop.
Cut two 1-inch lengths of chain.
Connect an ear wire, a length of chain and a drop. Repeat to complete the second earring.
