- Chain, sterling silver, 1.7mm Figaro
- Ear wire, sterling silver, 18mm fishhook with 3mm ball and 2mm coil with open loop, 22 gauge
- Bead, sterling silver, 2mm seamless-look round
- Head pin, silver-plated brass, 1 inch, 24 gauge
- Jump ring, sterling silver, 5.5mm round, 4mm inside diameter, 20 gauge
- Bead, cat's eye glass (fiber optic glass), light pink, 4mm round, quality grade
- Eye pin, sterling silver, 1 inch, 21 gauge
- Eye pin, sterling silver, 2-1/2 inches, 21 gauge
- Cone, sterling silver, 17x10mm flower, 6mm inside diameter
Instructions
Step 1
String a 2mm sterling silver round, then a 4mm cat's eye glass round, then another 2mm sterling silver round onto a 24-gauge head pin, then create a simple loop. Repeat to create a total of 14 beaded drops.
Step 2
String a 2mm sterling silver round, a 4mm cat's eye glass round and a 2mm sterling silver round onto a 1-inch eye pin and create a simple loop. Repeat to create a total of 14 beaded links.
Step 3
Cut seven 1-section l
Cut seven 1-section lengths of figaro chain then two of each of the following multi-section lengths.
Note: For the purposes of this project, a section of chain refers to one long and three short links.
- 2-section
- 2.5-section
- 3.5-section
- 4.5 section
- 5.5 section
- 6.5 section
- 7.5 section
Step 4
Connect the following to create a beaded chain. Together they will form the tassels of this design.
- One multi-section length of chain
- One beaded link
- One 1-section length of chain
- One beaded drop
Repeat to create beaded chains using each of the multi-section lengths of chain and one 1-section length.
Step 5
Add one of each length of beaded chain to a 5.5mm jump ring. Attach the jump ring to the loop of a 2-1/2 inch eye pin.
Step 6
String a cone onto the eye pin then create a wrapped loop. Attach the wrapped loop to the loop of an ear wire.
Step 7
Repeat Steps 5 and 6 to complete a second earring.
