- Bead, antiqued "pewter" (zinc-based alloy), 5x3mm beaded rondelle
- Bead, antiqued "pewter" (zinc-based alloy), 6x2mm beaded square rondelle with dots
- Bead, Celestial Crystal®, 18-facet, emerald green, 6mm faceted cube
- Bead, gold-plated brass, 3mm round
- Beading wire, Accu-Flex®, nylon and stainless steel, clear, 49 strand, 0.019-inch diameter
- Clasp, TierraCast®, toggle, antique silver-plated pewter (tin-based alloy), 17.5mm round with sunburst design
- Crimp cover, gold-plated brass, 4mm round
- Crimp, sterling silver, 2mm cut tube, 1.4mm inside diameter
- Drop, green jewel beetle, deep emerald green and iridescent blue, 25x8mm-35x10mm single-sided beetle wing
- Ear wire, stainless steel, 21mm fishhook with 3mm ball and 4mm coil with open loop, 21 gauge
- Eye pin, silver-plated brass, 2 inches, 21 gauge
- Jump ring, silver-plated brass, 6x4mm oval, 4.1x2mm inside diameter, 18 gauge
- Wire protector, Accu-Guard™, silver-plated brass, 4mm tube, 0.5mm inside diameter
Instructions
Necklace Instructions
Step 1
Cut one 20-inch length of Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire.
Step 2
String onto the length of beading wire: one crimp and one Accu-Guard™ wire protector. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the Accu-Guard leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end. Crimp then trim the excess from the short end of the beading wire. Finish with a crimp cover.
Step 3
String the following sequence onto the beading wire:
- Five sets of:
- One 5x3mm beaded rondelle
- One 3mm round
- One 6x2mm square beaded rondelle
- One 6mm faceted cube
Repeat four more times.
Continue to string the following:
- Three sets of:
- One 3mm round
- One 5x3mm beaded rondelle
- One 3mm round
Add a 6x4mm jump ring to a beetle wing then string the jump ring onto the wire.
Step 4
Repeat Step 3 in reverse then repeat Step 2.
Step 5
Use one 6x4mm oval jump ring to attach one portion of the toggle clasp onto one Accu-Guard at the end of the beading wire.
Repeat to complete the strand.
Earring Instructions
Step 6
String the following onto one 2-inch eye pin:
- One 3mm round
- One 5x3mm beaded rondelle
- One 3mm round
- One 6x2mm square beaded rondelle
- One 6mm faceted cube
- One 3mm round
- One 6x2mm square beaded rondelle
- One 3mm round
Form a simple loop to create a link.
Step 7
Use one 6x4mm oval jump ring to attach the beetle wing drop onto one loop on the link.
Attach the opposite loop of the link to the loop of the ear wire.
Step 8
Repeat Steps 1 and 2 to create the second earring.
