Instructions
Cut the following:
Mix Devcon® 5-Minute™ epoxy according to manufacturer's instructions. Apply a small amount of epoxy to the rivoli setting of one 17mm round drop. Press one light Siam 12mm rivoli into the setting. Set aside to cure.
String onto the 18-inch length of beading wire: one crimp and one Accu-Guard™ wire protector. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the Accu-Guard leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end. Crimp then trim the excess from the short end of the beading wire. Finish with a crimp cover.
String onto the beading wire: 32 satin silver 6mm rounds, one 6x2mm rondelle, one satin silver 8mm round, one 6x2mm rondelle and 32 satin silver 6mm rounds.
Repeat Step 3 to secure the strand.
Pass one 5.5mm jump ring through a lobster claw clasp and the Accu-Guard on one end of the strand then close.
Attach a 5.5mm jump ring to the opposite Accu-Guard.
Repeat Step 3 using the 22-inch length of beading wire.
String onto the beading wire:
Continue to string the drop from Step 2 onto the beading wire then repeat the above stringing sequence in the opposite direction. Repeat Step 3 to secure the strand then repeat Step 5 to attach a lobster claw clasp and jump ring.
Using the length of 14-gauge wire, begin to form a teardrop using the center of the wire approximately 1/2 inch wide by 1-inch long. Cross the tails to form the tip of the teardrop.
On one tail, form another teardrop, crossing the tail over itself approximately 1/2 inch from the original teardrop then wrap around the base wire twice. Repeat using the other tail then trim excess wire.
Hammer the teardrops to flatten and add texture.
String onto a head pin: one red carmen 4mm round, one 5x1mm rondelle and one satin silver 10mm round then form a wrapped loop, attaching the loop to the center teardrop of the triple-teardrop focal before closing the wrap.
Repeat Step 3 using one 14-inch length of beading wire.
String onto the beading wire:
Repeat Step 3, attaching the Accu-Guard to one side teardrop loop of the triple teardrop focal.
Repeat Step 10 using the second 14-inch length of beading wire, attaching one end to the opposite teardrop of the triple teardrop focal.
Repeat Step 5 to attach a clasp and jump ring to the wire protectors.
Cut two 6-inch lengths of 14-gauge ParaWire.
Using one length of wire, form the center of the wire into a 1/2 x 1-inch teardrop. Cross the tails to form the point of the teardrop. Form one tail into a loop approximately 1/4 inch in diameter, closing the loop toward the teardrop.
Pass the other tail up and away from the back of the 1/4 inch loop and form a slightly larger loop, closing it in the same direction of the previous loop. Trim excess wire.
Repeat Step 2, mirroring the directions of the loops.
String onto a head pin: one red carmen 4mm round, one 5x1mm rondelle and one satin silver 10mm round then form a wrapped loop, attaching the loop to the center teardrop of the triple-teardrop focal before closing the wrap.
Attach an ear wire to the top loop of the teardrop component.
Repeat Step 4 to create a second earring.
