- Bail, pendant, antiqued sterling silver, 16x7mm with fluted design and hidden loop
- Clasp, JBB Findings, hook-and-eye, antiqued sterling silver, 19x9mm gothic style
- Wire protector, Accu-Guard™, sterling silver, 5mm tube, 1.1mm inside diameter
- Bead, sterling silver, 4x2mm smooth rondelle
- Bead, Crystal Passions®, denim blue, 4mm faceted round (5000)
- Eye pin, sterling silver, 2 inches, 21 gauge
- Bead, blue kyanite (natural), 28x10mm hand-cut top-drilled flat teardrop, B grade, Mohs hardness 4 to 7-1/2
- Crimp, sterling silver, 2mm twisted, 0.8mm inside diameter
- Beading wire, Accu-Flex®, nylon and silver-plated stainless steel, clear, 49 strand, 0.024-inch diameter
- Jump ring, sterling silver, 8mm round, 5.4mm inside diameter, 16 gauge
- Jump ring, sterling silver, 4mm round, 2.4mm inside diameter, 20 gauge
- Ear wire, sterling silver, 15mm flat fishhook with 2mm coil and open loop, 22 gauge
- Crimp cover, sterling silver, 4mm
- Bead, blue kyanite (stabilized), 10x8mm flat oval, B grade, Mohs hardness 4 to 7-1/2
Instructions
Necklace Instructions
Step 1
Cut a 20-inch length of Accu-Flex® beading wire.
Step 2
String a crimp and an Accu-Guard™ wire protector onto the beading wire. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the Accu-Guard leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end. Crimp, trim the excess wire and add a crimp cover.
Step 3
Pass an eye pin through a blue kyanite teardrop bead and create a wrapped loop. Attach to a bail to create a drop.
Step 4
String onto the beading wire the following pattern:
- One rondelle
- One round crystal
- One blue kyanite oval bead
- One round crystal
- One rondelle
Secure in place with a crimp bead.
Repeat this pattern three more times. Secure in place as desired with crimp beads on each side of the pattern.
Note: The design in the image above leaves 1-1/2 inches between each pattern.
Step 5
String onto the wire the drop created in Step 3. Repeat the pattern from Step 4 on the other side of the necklace.
Step 6
Repeat Step 2 to secure the strand.
Step 7
To complete the necklace, attach one half a hook-and-eye clasp to each end of the necklace using jump rings.
Earring Instructions
Step 1
Pass an eye pin through a blue kyanite teardrop bead and create a wrapped loop. Attach to a bail to create a drop.
Step 2
Attach the drop created in Step 1 and a fishhook ear wire to a jump ring.
Repeat to create a second earring.
