Ear wire, silver-plated brass, 15mm leverback with 6x3mm shell and open loop
Clasp, magnetic barrel, silver-plated steel, 8x4mm
Wire protector, Accu-Guard™, silver-plated brass, 4mm tube, 0.5mm inside diameter
Bead, wood (waxed), light and dark brown, 5-6mm hand-cut heishi
Bead, white litub shell (natural), 4-5mm hand-cut heishi, Mohs hardness 3-1/2
Crimp cover, silver-plated brass, 4mm round
Crimp, sterling silver, 2mm cut tube, 1.4mm inside diameter
Beading wire, Accu-Flex®, nylon and stainless steel, snow white, 49 strand, 0.019-inch diameter
Jump ring, silver-plated brass, 4mm round, 2.4mm inside diameter, 20 gauge
Drop, areola shell (natural) and silver-plated steel, 23x12mm

Instructions

Necklace Instructions

Step 1

Cut an 18-inch length of Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire.

Step 2

String onto the beading wire: one crimp and one Accu-Guard™ wire protector. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the Accu-Guard leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end. Crimp then trim the excess from the short end of the beading wire. Finish with a 4mm crimp cover.

Step 3

String the following sets onto the beading wire for a total of seven sets:

One 1-inch length of 4-5mm heishis
One 5-6mm heishi

Step 4

Continue to string onto the beading wire:

One 3/4 inch length of 4-5mm heishis
One areola shell drop
One 3/4 inch length of 4-5mm heishis
One 5-6mm hand-cut heishi

Repeat Step 3 six times for a new total of 13 sets (including the sets from Step 4).

Step 5

String one 1-inch length of 4-5mm heishi beads then repeat Step 2, securing the strand.

Use 4mm jump rings to attach one portion of the magnetic clasp to the Accu-Guard on each end of the strand, completing the necklace.

Earring Instructions

Step 1

Pass the jump ring attached to the areola shell drop through the loop on the silver-plated brass ear wire then close to create the first earring.

Repeat to create a second earring.
