Instructions
Cut the following:
String a 9mm chrysocolla teardrop and the first link of the 2-inch length of cable chain onto the 4-inch length of 26-gauge wire then create a briolette wrapped loop.
Note: View "How to Make a Briolette Wrapped Loop" video and instructions for additional information.
String onto a length of beading wire: one crimp and one length of French wire. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the French wire leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end. Crimp, then trim the excess from the short end of the beading wire. Finish with a crimp cover.
String a 3mm 14Kt gold-filled round onto the beading wire.
Following each bead with a 3mm jumpring, string onto the beading wire:
String a chrysocolla teardrop then repeat Step 3 to complete the strand.
Using the second length of beading wire, repeat Step 3 then string a 3mm 14Kt gold-filled round.
String the first link of the 0.84mm chain onto the beading wire.
String an apatite teardrop onto the beading wire.
Skip five links on the chain then string the next link onto the beading wire.
String a 2.5mm gold-filled round onto the beading wire.
Skip four links on the chain, then string the next onto the beading wire.
Repeat this step 64 more times.
String an apatite teardrop then skip five links on the chain then string the next link onto the beading wire.
String a 3mm gold filled round, then repeat Step 3 to complete the strand.
Add a 5mm jumpring to a lobster claw clasp.
Use a 5mm jumpring to connect the jumpring added in Step 11 and the end of each beaded strand.
Repeat to connect the opposite ends of the strands and the last link of the extender chain created in Step 2.
Cut four 3-inch lengths of 26-gauge half-hard wire and two 5-inch lengths of 0.84mm add-a-bead chain.
String a chrysocolla teardrop onto a length of 26-gauge wire and create a briolette wrapped loop.
String the loop of the drop onto a length of 26-gauge wire and create a wire wrapped loop.
String a 2.5mm gold-filled round, the first link of a length of 0.84mm chain and an amethyst marquise onto the wire.
Perform the following sequence twice:
Skip 12 links on the chain, string the next link onto the beading wire then string a 2.5mm gold-filled round.
Create a wire-wrapped loop.
Pass the loop of an earwire through the loop created in Step 7 then close.
Repeat Steps 2 - 8 to create a second earring.
