- Wire protector, Accu-Guard™, silver-plated brass, 4mm tube
- Jump ring, silver-plated brass, 4mm round, 2.4mm inside diameter, 20 gauge
- Head pin, silver-plated brass, 1 inch, 21 gauge
- Focal, multi-wood / multi-shell / resin (dyed / assembled), multicolored, 44x40 single-sided butterfly
- Eye pin, silver-plated brass, 1-1/2 inches, 21 gauge
- Ear wire, silver-plated brass, 15mm flat fishhook with open loop, 21 gauge
- Crimp, silver-plated brass, 2.5mm round, 1.5mm inside diameter
- Crimp cover, silver-plated brass, 4mm round
- Clasp, toggle, silver-plated brass, 10mm textured woven round with loops
- Beading wire, Accu-Flex®, nylon and stainless steel, clear, 49 strand, 0.019-inch diameter
- Bead, Taiwanese cheesewood (dyed / waxed), light brown, 8x4mm rondelle
- Bead, paua shell (natural), 13x8mm-16x10mm rectangle, Mohs hardness 3-1/2
- Bead, painted sugar maple (coated), brown, 6x5mm hand-cut rondelle
Instructions
Necklace Instructions
Step 1
Cut one 25-inch length of Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire.
Step 2
String onto the beading wire: one crimp and one Accu-Guard™ wire protector. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the Accu-Guard leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end.
Crimp, then trim the excess from the short end of the beading wire. Finish with a 4mm crimp cover.
Step 3
String the following onto the beading wire:
- Two sets of:
- One brown 6x5mm rondelle
- Two light brown 8x4mm rondelles
- Three sets of:
- One brown 6x5mm rondelle
- One paua shell 13x10mm flat oval
- Three sets of:
- One brown 6x5mm rondelle
- Two light brown 8x4mm rondelles
- Three sets of:
- One brown 6x5mm rondelle
- Two paua shell 13x10mm flat ovals
- One brown 6x5mm rondelle
- Two light brown 8x4mm rondelles
- One brown 6x5mm rondelle
- One paua shell 13x10mm flat oval
- One brown 6x5mm rondelle
- One multi-wood 44x40 butterfly focal
- 15 paua shell 13x10mm flat ovals
Repeat Step 2 to secure the strand.
Step 4
Pass one 4mm jump ring through the loop on one portion of the clasp and the Accu-Guard on one end of the strand then close. Repeat to attach the second portion of the clasp to the opposite end of the strand.
Earring Instructions
Step 1
String one paua shell 13x10mm flat oval onto one 1-inch head pin then form a simple loop. Repeat to create a second paua shell drop.
Step 2
String onto one 1-1/2 inch eye pin: one brown 6x5mm rondelle, two light brown 8x4mm rondelles and one brown 6x5mm rondelle then form a simple loop. Repeat to create a second wood link.
Step 3
Pass one 4mm jump ring through one paua shell drop and the loop on one end of one wood link then close. Repeat to attach an ear wire to the opposite end of the link.
Repeat to create a second earring.
