Instructions
Using scissors cut one 96-inch length of brown 2mm leather cord and one 6-foot length of Purely Silk™ chestnut size FF thread.
Note: It may be necessary to knot/tie off your thread and start with a fresh length during this process.
String onto one end of the leather cord one antiqued brass-finished 18mm button. Position the button so it sits in the center of the leather cord then pass one end of the cord down through an adjacent hole.
Pass the cord up through the diagonal hole then down through the last hole.
Double the length of thread and place the center around the two lengths of cord, close to the base of the button, tie an overhand knot.
Gather the strands of leather cord and thread and tie an overhand knot to secure the strands together. Place a small amount of G-S Hypo cement to secure the knot.
Secure the button end of the strands to a sketch board.
Thread a needle onto the opposite end of each thread.
Separate the strands of leather cord and bring each strand of thread around the outside of its corresponding strand of cord. Pass the needle on each side through the hole on one green serpentine 4mm round in the opposite directions then pull the threads tight.
Wrap the two strands of thread around the outside of their new corresponding leather cord strands.
Continue this process adding a total of five serpentine 4mm rounds and lashing the thread around each side of the cord.
Continue to lash one serpentine 6mm round. Wrap the two strand of thread around the outside of their corresponding leather cord then pass the needles back through the hole a second time creating a double lash.
Tip: This may be a good area to tie of the end of thread strands and connect additional strands. If desired, add a small amount of G-S Hypo cement to secure.
Continue to lash the following:
Repeat Steps 5 - 7 to create a total of two sets.
Continue to lash:
Repeat Steps 9 to create a total of two sets.

Repeat to create a total of two sets.
Continue to lash six serpentine 4mm rounds.
Tie an overhand knot to secure the strands together. Place a small amount of G-S Hypo cement to secure the knot.
Measure approximately 1 inch from the previous knot and tie a second overhand knot. Place a small amount of G-S Hypo cement to secure the knot. Trim excess cord and thread.
