- Bead, Crystal Passions®, crystal AB, 8mm faceted round (5000)
- Bead, turquoise (dyed / stabilized), 6x1mm-6x3mm hand-cut rondelle, B grade, Mohs hardness 5 to 6
- Beading wire, Accu-Flex®, nylon and stainless steel, pearl, 49 strand, 0.019-inch diameter
- Clasp, lobster claw, antique brass-plated "pewter" (zinc-based alloy), 19.5x13mm with double-sided abstract design
- Crimp cover, antique gold-plated brass, 4mm
- Crimp cover, gold-plated brass, 4mm stardust round
- Crimp, 12Kt gold-filled, 2mm smooth tube, 1.1mm inside diameter
- Ear wire, gold-plated brass, 16mm leverback with 7x2mm shield and open loop
- Head pin, gold-plated brass, 2 inches, 21 gauge
- Jump ring, antique gold-plated brass, 8mm round, 5.4mm inside diameter, 16 gauge
- Pendant, lampworked glass, teal / white / clear, 50x45mm single-sided heart with flower
Instructions
Necklace Instructions
Step 1
Using flush-cutters cut one 20-inch length of Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire.
Step 2
String onto the following onto the beading wire:
- One gold-filled 2x2mm crimp bead
- One Accu-Guard™ wire protector
- The loop on one antiqued brass-finished lobster claw clasp
Step 3
Pass the beading wire back through the crimp bead. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the Accu-Guard leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end. Place a small amount of adhesive (Loctite®) inside the crimp (optional).
Using crimping pliers crimp the crimp bead. Using flush-cutters trim the excess from the short end of the beading wire. Place one gold-plated 4mm stardust crimp cover over the crimp bead then gently close it.
Step 4
String the following onto the beading wire:
- Sixty turquoise 6x3mm rondelles
- One and gold-plated crystal AB 6x3.5mm rondelle
- One crystal AB 8mm round
- One and gold-plated crystal AB 6x3.5mm rondelle
- Nine turquoise 6x3mm rondelles
- One and gold-plated crystal AB 6x3.5mm rondelle
- One crystal AB 8mm round
Step 5
Continue to string one lampworked glass 50x45mm heart pendant.
Step 6
Repeat the stringing sequence in Step 4 in the opposite direction.
Step 7
String onto the beading wire one gold-filled 2x2mm crimp bead and one Accu-Guard wire protector. Repeat Step 3 to secure the strand.
Step 8
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and bent-nose pliers open three antiqued gold-plated 8mm jumprings.
Pass one open 8mm jumpring through one closed 8mm jumpring and the last Accu-Guard. Close the jumpring. Repeat adding four more 8mm jumprings creating an extender chain.
Tip: Use a second crimp cover to disguise any extra space at each end of a necklace or to even out a design.
Earring Instructions
Step 1
String the following onto one gold-plated 2-inch headpin:
- One and gold-plated crystal AB 4x2mm rondelle
- One crystal AB 8mm round
- One and gold-plated crystal AB 4x2mm rondelle
- Three turquoise 6x3mm rondelles
- One and gold-plated crystal AB 4x2mm rondelle
- One crystal AB 5.5x5mm simplicity
Step 2
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers, round-nose pliers and flush-cutters form a simple loop on the straight end of the wire creating a turquoise and drop.
Step 3
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and bent-nose pliers open the loop on one gold-plated leverback earwire. Pass the loop through the loop on the turquoise and drop. Close the loop.
Step 4
Repeat Steps 1 - 3 to create a second earring.
