- Beading wire, Accu-Flex®, nylon and stainless steel, pearl, 49 strand, 0.019-inch diameter
- Charm, enamel and silver-plated "pewter" (zinc-based alloy), black and orange, 25x23mm single-sided cat with ribbon
- Clasp, lobster claw, silver-plated brass, 7x5mm
- Crimp cover, silver-plated brass, 4mm round
- Crimp, sterling silver, 2mm cut tube, 1.4mm inside diameter
- Jump ring, silver-plated brass, 5.5mm round, 3.5mm inside diameter, 18 gauge
- Seed bead, Miyuki, glass, opaque black, (RR401), #15 rocaille
- Seed bead, Miyuki, glass, opaque luster mandarin, (RR423), #15 rocaille
- Wire protector, Accu-Guard™, silver-plated brass, 5mm tube
Instructions
Step 1
Cut a 22” length of 0.019-inch diameter pearl Accu-Flex® Professional Quality beading wire.
Step 2
Thread a crimp bead and an Accu-Guard™ wire protector on one end of the length of beading wire. Crimp. For explicit instructions on using crimp beads and wire protectors, please view "How To Crimp a Crimp Bead/Crimp Tube."
Step 3
Apply a crimp cover. For instructions on applying crimp covers, please view "Using Crimp Covers."
Step 4
Thread 20 orange seed beads onto the wire.
Step 5
Thread 20 black seed beads onto the wire.
Step 6
Repeat Steps 4 and 5 until you reach the desired length of your necklace. The necklace in this design idea is approximately 17.5 inches.
Step 7
Thread a crimp bead and an Accu-Guard wire protector onto the tail end of the necklace. Pull the tail tight to take up any slack in the Accu-Flex. Crimp.
Step 8
Apply a crimp cover.
Step 9
Use a 5.5mm jump ring to attach a lobster claw clasp to one end of the necklace.
Step 10
Add a 5.5mm jump ring to the opposite end of the necklace.
Step 11
Attach the cat charm to the necklace with a 5.5mm jump ring.
