Use this decorative half-hitch knot as a finishing technique.
Instructions
After stringing on the last bead in the design, string onto the thread: one 1/4 inch length of French wire and one portion of the clasp. Pass the thread back through the last bead in the design and pull so the French wire forms a nice half-loop through the clasp, close to the bead.
Form a half-hitch knot by passing the "working" thread behind and around the "anchor" thread, forming a loop. Continue to pass the working cord through the loop then pull the thread tight. Repeat to form a second half-hitch knot, tightening it over the first knot for added security.
View the ''Knots Tutorial'' how-to video and illustrated instructions for more information.
Finish with a drop of G-S Hypo Cement® and let cure for 24 hours. Once cured, trim the tail of the thread with a pair of fine-tip scissors.
