Video Tutorial - How to Use a Jump Ring Maker - Fire Mountain Gems and Beads

Instructions

Step 1

Select desired mandrel size and screw into tool.

Step 2

Wire sticking through bottom of the jump ring maker

Put 1 inch of wire through hole on tool. Bend short end of wire flat against bottom of tool.

Step 3

Wire bent towards the jump ring maker tool

Bend long end of wire flat against top of tool.

Step 4

Wrap wire around mandrel.

Step 5

One end of wire in the jump ring tool, the other end in a clamp

Secure straight end of wire in vise.

Step 6

While holding wire taut, insert finger in tool hole and turn until desired coil length is achieved.

Using flush-cutters, sever both ends of wire.

Slide coil from mandrel.

Cut coils into jumprings using flush-cutters or jeweler's saw.
