Use ring guards to tighten loose rings, preventing loss, without resizing. Ring guards clamp into the ring's shank and are tightened with a pair of pliers. They allow the ring to expand over the knuckle and fit snugly on the finger. To determine the size needed, measure the bottom width of the ring shank.
Instructions
Place your ring guard into the opening of your band. Wrap one 'leg' of the guard around the band from the front and the other leg from the back. Adjust the guard up or down the band to the size ring you need.
Using chain-nose pliers, begin wrapping the first ''leg'' around the band. Repeat for the other leg.
Double check the size.
Continue wrapping one leg until it is wrapped completely around the band. Repeat for the other leg. Press gently on the end of each leg so they aren't sticking out from the band. Your ring guard is successfully in place.
