How to Use the Artistic Wire® CONETASTIC™ Inverted Mandrel


Instructions

Step 1
Putting the mandrel on the Conetastic tool

Insert the inverted mandrel into the base of the CONETASTIC Tool (sold separately) with flat side of the mandrel shank aligned with the set screw.

Step 2
Tightening the mandrel with an Allen wrench

Use an Allen wrench to tighten the inverted mandrel into place.

Step 3
Inserting wire through the hole in the mandrel

Insert wire into the hole at the base of the mandrel to secure the wire for wrapping.

Step 4
Started wrapping the wire up the mandrel

Holding and guiding the wire with your fingers, turn the CONETASTIC tool to wrap the wire around the mandrel.

Step 5
Continuing of the wrapping

Continue turning the tool to wrap the wire around the mandrel.

Step 6
What it looks like when the wire has wrapped up the entire mandrel

Finish wrapping when you reach the desired length of your cone.

Step 7
Cutting off the excess wire with cutters

Use the flush side of a cutter to snip the end of the wire.

Step 8
Cutting the wire at the bass

Use the flush side of a cutter to snip the wire at the bottom to release it from the hole.

Step 9
Using an Allen wrench to loosen the mandrel

Use the allen wrench to loosen the mandrel and remove it from the CONETASTIC tool.

Step 10
Taking the finished product off the mandrel

Remove the cone from the mandrel.
