Instructions
Cut a 4-inch length of 24-gauge wire and a 3 to 5 link length of chain. Use round nose pliers and create a freeform loop on one end of the wire. String a faceted chalcedony and create a wrapped loop, connecting it to the end of the chain.
Cut three 2-inch pieces of 24-gauge wire. String the wire through the hole in the moonstone briolette. Bend both sides of the wire up, allowing one wire to extend from the bead approximately 1/2 inch. Form an ''X'' above the bead. Bend the long wire up and wrap the short wire around the long wire approximately two times. Create a wrapped loop with the long wire connecting it to one of the links in the chain. Repeat two times, connecting three briolettes to the chain. Connect this piece to purchased or handmade earwires.
Cut 20-gauge wire to the length desired. Using round nose pliers, bend the wire approximately 1/2 inch from the end to make a loop. Wrap the main portion of the wire around a round object, such as a pen or pencil, to the diameter of the desired finished earwire. Cut excess wire. Hammer wire to add strength and definition.
