How to Open and Lock a Link Lock
Instructions
To Open:
Step 1
Using two pairs of chain-nose pliers, grasp each end of the link lock. Open the link lock using a twisting motion until the opening is large enough to slide a finding, clasp or wired element onto it.
Step 2
Place the items being connected onto the open link lock. Then twist the link lock back until the end of the wire lines up with the hole in the locking mechanism.
To Lock:
Step 3
Grasp the ends of the link with chain-nose pliers. Push in on the open side of the link until the end is inserted into the locking mechanism as far as it will go.
Step 4
Using the tip of a pair of chain-nose pliers, gently close the latch down into place until it is flush with the rest of the locking mechanism.
