How to Use Sure-Set Mountings

Sure-sets are precision cast mountings designed with seats capable of accommodating most stone girdle widths. Setting may be done with ordinary precision pliers; however, the job is greatly simplified by using our notched stone setting pliers.

Instructions

Step 1

Faceted stone face down with prong setting above it.

Place the stone face down on a padded surface.

Step 2

Gently press the mount onto the stone so it snaps into place.

Step 3

Using gem-setting pliers, tighten all 4 prongs making sure the stone sets securely in the mount.
