I have a 36-inch gold plate rope chain 2.5mm thick, and I want to attach a 1x2-inch pendant that consists of my initials. A tiny hole is attached to the top center of the pendant. I need some help finding an inexpensive bail that will hold the pendant steady as I wear it. Would appreciate any help! Thanks.
We have a great solution for you! An ice-pick bail. The picks will most likely fit through the hole in your pendant and most will accommodate a heavier chain. And they are super easy to use—you do not even need tools. Just place one side of the pick through the hole in your pendant then with your thumb and forefinger press the sides of the bail inward so both picks are securely in place. Be sure to choose one with a wide enough pick area (the bottom) to go over your pendant so the picks have space to go into the pendant, and a bail portion (the top) wide enough and in the correct orientation to slide over your chain and you are all set!
