I am using Accu-Flex® 7 strands (.012") and crimp beads with pearls and other beads. Some of the necklaces get broken after a while. What can I use to make them stronger?

If a necklace is breaking in the middle of the wire, then a higher strand count of Accu-Flex can be used to correct the problem. Although the 7-strand (1x7) wire is strong and flexible, you may want to choose a more flexible wire, such as the 21-strand (3x7) or 49-strand (7x7) for heavier designs.

If a necklace is breaking at the crimp area, then the crimps may need to be crimped more securely. To add security to your crimp, we suggest using a bit of Loctite® 454 Gel adhesive next to the crimp. You'll get the best crimping results when you use crimping pliers on crimping beads.
